Lewis and Clark Construction Inc. is a full service construction company with speciality license in concrete, glass and glazing, and painting. The company started as a sole propritor company and in 1982, changed to a Sub-Chapter (8), corporation.

The company is headed by Dr. E. Lewis Clark. He started his construction services in the mid seventies with San Bernardino County Environmental Health Services and later with the Building Department and finally Environmental Public Works Agency.

He is a graduate from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), Tallahassee Fl, where he earned his BS degree in Biology. As he progressed through his career he returned to college to continue his education. He enrolled in University of Redlands, Redlands Ca. where he earned his MA degree in Organization Development and a few years later to California Western University, Santa Ana Ca where he earned his PhD in Business Adm./Marketing.

Our labor force is composed of our in-house Project Manager who maintains communication between our clients, homebase and on- site labor. Our administrative assistant who maintain office activities, and our CEO. Our labor force is composed of union and non-union labor. Subcontractors provide the necessary services we do not cover with our company skilled mechanics.

SERVICES

CONCRETE SERVICES

Our company provides concrete services in a number of areas; flat work, retaining walls, design features, foundations, etc. Projects range from small to large. Our coverage area is throughout California.

Painting & Coatings

Our first speciality categor was our C-33 painting certification. We have since provided painting, coatings, and wallpaper services to numerous clients from residential to federal government. We also provide drywall services to complement our painting services when appropriate.

General Construction

As a general construction company, we provide complete construction services to residential, commercial, and governmental agencies. Our services therefore provide services as both Prime contractor and sub-contractor.

PROJECTS

Lewis and Clark has consistently provided its services to city, county, state, and federal agencies. As a SBA 8 (a) program graduate, we had the opportunity to service numerous federal agencies . We have been involved in Housing and Community Development, GSA services, public works, and etc. Being in business since 1982, has provided us the time to cover a broad range of projects and learn how to function with a variety of agencies. We have also provided our services to residential clients individually and those using block grant programs to improve their property.

We are licensed, insured,and bonded. We are licensed in both California and Florida. California license number is 463976, B, C8, C17, and C33, and Florida license number CBC057535. Our safety program includes a "No Alcohol/Drug" policy, and strict safety program meeting OSHA and Cal OSHA guidelines. We take our employees health and safety as a major priority.
